Christmas Day Outfit

This is what I wore on Christmas Day and boy was it cold! I was freezing since it was 22 degrees and my fingers were numb three minutes into taking these photos. I got this fur collared poncho a week or two ago at Forever 21; I walked in, saw it and had to have it. Unfortunately, it is no longer on the F21 website so I have linked some similar ones too that are also friendly on your wallet.

I chose to wear a black stretchy turtleneck, high-waisted skinny jeans, and over-the-knee black boots. All the items + dupes will be listed below. This look can easily be recreated with items you already have in your closet! You can also switch out the OTK boots for ankle booties if that's what you prefer. If you're in a rut and don't know what to wear, go on Pinterest or Instagram and look for inspiration. Take bits and pieces from outfits you like and make it your own -- that's what I do.

Cowl Neck Sweater + OTK Boots

Merry Christmas gals! Finals week is over and now I have time to blog. Here's my OOTD for some last minute x-mas shopping. I always thought that I was too short for OTK (over-the-knee) boots but when I tried these on, they fit like a glove. Don't be afraid to try out trends because of how short or tall you are -- you never know. I ended up buying two pairs of OTK boots and I've been wearing them constantly. All black OTK boots make your outfit very sleek and not to mention, make you look taller (you'll be seeing these on the blog soon)! A dupe of my boots LINKED HERE are currently only $20 and there's free shipping when you spend $50.

I'm also wearing high-waisted jeans and tucked in the front of my sweater. My sweater LINKED HERE is currently $20! (The whole store is $20 and under and the sweater has held up well/no fuzzing or anything). Go stock up for the season, they're great quality especially for the price. I can't rave enough about this sweater. I've been wearing this type of sweater with jeans and booties for a quick, easy outfit.

Also, currently all I have been wearing are sparkly statement earrings. I still am stuck on the trend! They really add a lot of glam to a basic outfit. THESE earrings are similar to the style that I am wearing (mine are from F21) and they go with everything. Since I've been wearing larger earrings for the past few months, I feel like there's something missing when I don't have them on!

On a side note, I got a haircut and I really regret it :( The cut itself is not bad but it's not what I wanted, plus all of my color was cut off. So my hair will be up in a pony or topknot for the next few months until the top layer of my hair grows out. But then again, whenever I do go get my hair cut I have post-haircut regret every-time.

Army Green Jacket Casual OOTD

outfit details:
Army jacket II Knox Rose embroidered top (similar)
Vince sandals II Baublebar earrings
MK tote II QUAY sunnies

Today's OOTD is a casual look and I've been wearing it alot -- it's been warmer this week! I love army jackets in the fall, it goes with everything and looks casually chic. My Vince Camuto shoes (linked in black/tan) are 70% off!! I recently just found them in my closet and I fell back in love with them! They're a neutral color so they can be paired with everything. I wear them in the spring, summer, and fall with dresses or jeans. The shoes run a tad bit small so I would size 1/2 up. I've also been loving these QUAY sunnies in the shade 'black fade', they're so unique and look designer but they're under $100. I have them in the gold too; these sunglasses are quite large so keep that in mind, but they fit my face really well. The top is from the brand, Knox Rose, a while back which can be found in your local Target. They have some really cute bohemian flow-y tops that won't burn a hole in your wallet (I've linked some similar to the one I'm wearing below). My tote bag in the color acorn is 25% off right now, with free shipping. I decided to splurge because I wanted a bag sturdy and large enough to carry my laptop/books to class.
