Ruffle Lace Top + Dark Wash Jeans II Casual Spring OOTD

Super excited with all the spring tops I am waiting to share w/ you all. My top was actually a dress from H&M but my mom cut it into a top (she's a seamstress!). Most dresses look boxy/awkward on me since I am small-framed & short -- that's why I decided to change it into a shirt!

There is a black version of this dress that I am sure that is currently in the store, however I can't seem to find it online. I saw it last weekend in the front of the store and it's the exact same design. I'm wearing size 2. It fits TTS, but if your shoulders are more on the broad side I recommend sizing up.

THIS top is super similar to the one I am wearing and it is under $13! Comes in stripes and floral. Also it's fully in stock from size x-small to xx-large. It would be a cute Easter outfit paired with white pleated pants and wedges. I would wear those tops w/ ripped skinny jeans for a more casual look + sandals to class.

The jeans I am wearing LINKED here are currently my favorite & they're under $40. The jeans are also BOGO 1/2 off so you could get two pairs for only $60. They don't stretch out during the day (for those who wear jeans a lot, you know the struggle). I recommend sizing down a size since I am wearing a 00 short here.

Yellow Ruffle Blouse II Spring OOTD

Spring weather is almost among us & so are florals and blouses. This yellow color just reminds me of spring and summer. I'm so excited for summer to start so I can go travel and enjoy vacation. Not to mention all the light colorful clothing b/c I am so tired of wearing thick sweaters + heavy peacoats. Layers are cute until you walk inside and the heat is turned up all the way.

I stumbled across this top a couple months ago & had to grab it! Unfortunately, this color/pattern is no longer sold -- but it comes in blue and green. It's less than $20 and such a steal. Scroll down to shop this top!

The ruffle detail on the sleeves are unique and flirty. It's currently in stock in all sizes in both colors. It fits TTS but I recommend sizing up for a looser look. I usually go up a size in chiffon blouses since I like to tuck them in the front.

I'm obsessed w/florals and I think they will never go out of trend. Anyone can pull it off -- it's universally flattering. Keep a look out for more spring outfit inspo!

The $15 Embroidered Tee You Need II Casual OOTD

It snowed so heavy this morning/afternoon to the point where school was canceled. Crazy that this was just yesterday! I went to a new shopping plaza with my mom and we just spent some time together.

I wore this tee LINKED HERE & I cannot say enough good things about it. Love this top and it's on clearance for less than $15. What's better than that?! Comes in two colors but I prefer the cream. I sized up for a more casual feel/more comfortable too.

Embroidered anything is super on trend for spring 2018. I see embroidered military jackets, jeans,  & denim skirts all over the place.

The semester ends in about 5 weeks for me and I can't believe this school year has gone so fast. But after I'm finished, I'll be able to blog more often. So excited for spring & summer -- keep an eye out for my posts!

On a side note, all the pictures on my blog can be pinned to Pinterest -- just hover over with your cursor (desktop) or tap the photo if you're on mobile.

Instagram Roundup!

Over the past couple weeks I've posted some photos that didn't have a correlating blog post & I had a couple people ask me where I got some items. So I decided to do a quick roundup & list all the items I'm wearing :) Some of the items I have are old so I listed some that looked similar and everything is under $100.

TBH all I have been wearing are cream/oatmeal colored sweaters & a utility vest or army green jacket. It's just so quick and easy to throw on when I'm half awake and rushing out the door. Ahh gotta love college life.

Embroidered Jeans (These are almost sold out -- similar linked here)

^^Taking these ACOTD pics are so awkward in public! People are always staring at me like 'what is she doing' haha.

Gold Cuff II Pave Bracelet (sold out -- similar here) II Gold Jeweled Watch

Oatmeal Cardigan II Striped Scarf (I got this last year -- similar) II Camel Crossbody

Red Teardrop Stretch Bracelet (exact & currently on clearance!)

Slip-on Sneakers  (currently $77!)

Monthly Favorites: March 2018

March has been flying by b/c I've been so busy with work, school, etc... My sleep schedule has been out of wack and my body is not having it. Part of it has to do w/my procrastination (I know, my fault). But I don't drink coffee/like caffeine in general so I don't get an 'energy boost' the beginning of the day.

I know it's the middle of the month but I've been loving these items listed down below for a month, if not over a month! And all of these items I have & tell me if you love them too.

1. Green Army Jacket: This jacket is currently 65% off!! It's a must-have and can be worn in the spring & fall. I’ve been wearing mine nonstop because it goes with almost everything in my wardrobe. It’s just really easy to throw on w/a t-shirt and skinny jeans — I’m out the door in 5. Mine is from last year from Hollister but this one is very similar.

2. Black Fade Sunglasses: Whenever I wear these people always compliment me or ask me where I got them! They are so unique and look really cool.

3. Circle Hair Barrette: I recently just got one & it’s super flattering on the hair, esp if you have dark hair. I also like how the triangle barrettes look; I’ve seen them all over Pinterest.

4. Embroidered White Tee: I have this exact t-shirt in ‘cream’ and you need to get it.The embroidered detail is well-sewn and doesn’t have threads falling off. I actually got this on clearance in-store (under $20!). The material is soft and would look really nice with brown sandals + medium wash distressed jeans. It also comes in a navy color & is currently stocked in all sizes.

5. Rose Slip-on Sneaks: I love these shoes, they run TTS. They are perfect for transitioning into spring too. I have them in a taupe/gold color and they have just the right amount of sparkle.

6. Pro Eyeshadow Palette: I’ve been wearing this palette almost everyday because of how many warm toned brown shadows are in here. I usually put a light & medium brown color in my crease and either a matte cream color or shimmery gold on the middle of the lid. These blend out smoothly and are worth it if you don't already have neutral brown shades in your collection.

7. Fuzzy Slippers: These are just too adorable to pass up & UNDER $10!! I bought the bunny slippers but I cannot find them online on the site. I linked these & they are just as cute. I wear them around the house because I have poor circulation and my feet are always freezing.

8. Complexion Sponges: I only wear concealer under-the-eye and used to just blend it in with my fingertips but I like using this better. It’s quicker and the product is evenly distributed.

9. Lash Power Mascara: This is for all my girls who have short lower lashes. It doesn’t smudge and lengthens without being waterproof or hard to remove. I can’t just use any mascara because it will end up all over my under eye and look like I have even more bags.

Spring Outfit Inspiration

First week back from winter break and I have exams one after the other. I'm trying to get back in the grind of things, y'know after a week from sleeping in 'til 12 and no homework haha. Stay safe with the inclement weather, I heard on the news that some states are getting slammed with snow.

I am waiting for the weather to warm up so I can break out the sandals. Spring is one of my favorite seasons -- not too hot and not too cold.

Pastels, white eyelet tops, and floral dresses scream spring. The outfit I chose below is what I would personally wear. I would swap out the wedges for sandals or flats for school (my campus has so many hills).

Don't be afraid to add a pop of color in your neutral outfit. Usually I wear colorful tops and jeans/shorts in the spring. Play around with textures and prints such as ruffles and stripes.

1. Striped & Floral Gray Peplum Top: The mixing of the two prints is fabulous together; it's subtle yet still noticeable. The ruffled bell sleeves are IN right now and I'm living for it. This top is under $20!

2. Gold Etched Coin Earrings: The etched detailing on these make it more unique. These + a high pony + peplum top would look so good together.

3. Distressed Dark Jeans: I tried these on in-store and loved them! I ended up not getting them because they didn't have them in 'short' :(  High rise jeans are really flattering and the dark wash is a true deep blue.

4. Darci Gold Watch: I love the sparkly face of this watch and how simple it is. It's a great everyday watch that goes with a lot.

5. Mustard Crossbody Satchel: Satchels are my fave kind of purse, I think they look chic and cute at the same time. This yellow color is bright enough to make a statement but could also be worked into an outfit as a neutral.

6. Cutout Nude Wedge: Just look at them! I would have bought these in a heartbeat if I didn't already have similar ones. It has a 4' wedge and super cool cutout detailing.

Blanket Scarf + Cream Sweater II OOTD

I've been wearing this outfit a lot because it's still so cold here in on the east coast. It's super easy to throw on and go about your day. All pieces are linked below, some items are old so I linked similar ones!

Also, some people have asked me what I use to curl my hair -- I use THIS curling iron (this one is the extended barrel). I've been using it for years and it gives me long lasting waves. If your hair holds curl really well then I recommend a 1 1/4 barrel. I'll be doing a post on what products I use in my hair soon.
