$12 Dress You NEED For Summer!!

This cute little palm print dress is still in stock this summer! I got this last year and wore it to the beach. It's $12 and will be the best $12 you'll ever spend. It looks like it's more expensive than it actually is.

The specific print that I am wearing is not being sold but the same dress is, in a different print. It is the first one linked down below (the dress w/more white + more pastel colored). I am wearing size small and I recommend belting it to give it some shape -- otherwise it can come off a bit boxy.

If you really like the palm print I am wearing in the exact picture, then click on the second & third dress linked below. One is short-sleeved instead of a spaghetti strap and the other is a romper w/spaghetti straps.

If you're looking for a cute dress for the summer, this is the one to get. This would even be cute with sandals and a ponytail.

White Eyelet Top + Striped Espadrille Sandals II OOTD

My friends and I took a little trip to the zoo and it was so fun. We saw giraffes, hippos, kangaroos, and some animals I have never seen before. I haven't been back to the Philly Zoo since I was 7-8, so it brought back good memories.

This white eyelet top is such a steal at $15. It's comfortable and easy to style. I'm wearing a small and it runs on the larger size. I've been really enjoying white tops + dark jeans and a sandal. Pair it with a colorful accessory & you're all set! You can never have too many white tops (I swear I always spill something on myself only when I'm wearing white).

I got these striped espadrille sandals a bit ago and I love them -- they are easy to walk in. I've been grabbing them when I'm running out the door instead of shoes w/a wedge.  They don't rub or dig into the sides of my feet at all.

This outfit would be perfect for spring and transition into summer when it's not too hot. The weather has been colder so 3/4 sleeves are perfect. I also wore an army green jacket with this look, since it was breezy in the morning.

Yellow Peplum + Distressed Denim II Summer OOTD idea

Do you ever get sleep-deprived and then when you do sleep, you sleep for like 12 hours? That's what happened to me (side-note: do not wait until the last minute to study for an exam). The weather was beautiful for two days and it has returned to a drizzly, gray 45 degrees :(

Maybe if I start wearing spring clothes, maybe spring would actually come. Anyways, this summer-inspired outfit is a casual look that you can wear anywhere. I wear variations of this outfit when I don't know what to wear -- it's simple but the accessories change the whole look.

Pair a basic one-colored top w/a statement necklace or a pair of tassel earrings (my fave!).

Striped Sweater + Bow Mules II Easy Spring OOTD

This is my go-to look right now -- a knit sweater and some flat shoe b/c I am tired of wearing wedges/heels. Really easy look to throw on but still look put together.

I got my sweater from a store I worked at last year, but any striped sweater will do. It's cold in the morning but gets up to 60 or so in the afternoon, so sweaters are a must! I wore a green army jacket on top of the sweater.

I'm wearing my favorite jeans of all time & they're under $40. Cannot rave enough about them! They are rated 4+ stars have over 1k reviews. I got them when I was shopping for my sister's birthday present and got her a pair also. The high waist is really flattering and the only pair of jean I absolutely love. That means a lot since I wear jeans almost everyday, haha.

The bow mules that I wore are currently not being sold, but I've listed some really similar ones below.  All but one pair are under $50. I know mules aren't everyone's cup of tea, but I think they are so stylish w/the bow detail and bold color. When this trend first came out, I wasn't a fan but it grew on me. Esp if you are on the shorter side, the pointed toe will elongate your frame.

Don't be afraid to wear a pop of color here and there. If your outfit is looking a little blah then throw a statement necklace/earrings, patterned headband or bright shoe. Accessories take your look from a 2 to a 10 quick.

Also, I got a new curling iron & I love it. I still like the 1" curling iron I have used for years but the extended barrel & 1 1/4" barrel just makes my hair look better IMO. It gives me the most perfect wave in about 15 minutes max. If you have long hair & are looking for a good curling iron, get this one!

Floral Tops for Spring UNDER $50 II Outfit Inspo

Florals are my go-to for spring -- a floral blouse + distressed denim shorts is such an easy outfit to recreate. I think every girl needs several floral pieces in her closet because it's a flattering print and easy to things pair with. The floral print can be dressed up or down easily.

The exact pair of jeans I am wearing in the photos can be found HERE. They are currently less than $50 & run true-to-size. These have a stretch to them and are very comfortable to wear. Also, if they don't fit -- the store offers free returns!

My peplum floral top is from last year (Kohl's) but I've linked even cuter pieces below & they're all UNDER $50. I tried to include a variety of styles such as OTS, long-sleeve, short-sleeve, & sleeveless. My favorite are the first three!

Top 2018 Spring Trends

These are my top spring trends for 2018 and picked my favorites to share. Some of these items are currently on my wishlist! I'll treat myself after finals, haha.

I am so excited to wear spring clothes but the weather here is rainy & dreary. So raincoat + rain boots it is. School is coming to an end and I am super excited for summer. I'll be posting way more & shooting some fab outfits.

I've linked the exact items in the bolded titles and my other recommendations (most are under $50).

1. Paper Bag High-Waisted Shorts: I saw these on Alyson Haley and fell in love w/this style of short. It lengthens the leg and ties in the front with a bow. These shorts + white chiffon tank would be an easy outfit to throw together.

2. Ruffle Tops: My last two blog posts have been on ruffle tops -- can you tell I'm obsessed? So feminine and chic at the same time.

3. White Eyelet Tops: These tops are my go-to since you can put any color accessories with them. Fuchsia tassel earrings or a statement necklace will stand out against the white. I have this top (under $20!) & it runs big, so I recommend sizing down.

4. Silk Scarf Headbands: I know this is listed as a neck-tie scarf, but let me tell you -- this looks so fashionable as a headband. I recently purchased the same one in a different color and it's currently 60% off the sale price!! I tie mine into a bow on the top of my head (it looks cuter than it sounds trust me).

5. Circle Straw Crossbody: I've seen this bag all over Instagram and it reminds me of vacation, y'know on a white sand beach in a cute swimsuit. It's like the 'Cult Gaia Ark Bag of 2018' (this bag was super popular last summer!). All of the bags I've listed below are under $55.

6. Flat Mules: These shoes are perfect for casual outfits -- throw on a white tee, ripped skinnies, and some colorful mules and call it a day! I really like the bow detailing and the espadrille side sole. Some days I don't want to wear booties or wedges, so these are a nice alternative since they still look more stylish compared to flip-flops.

7. Wedge Espadrilles: The espadrilles in the See collection by Chloe, are to die for. The lace is a really nice detail to the shoe. It's currently 25% off right now, so go get them before they sell out since they are on the pricier side. The espadrilles on the right hand side of the photo collage can be found HERE.

Let me know what other trends you have been loving,

Happy Spring!
